Bio
In my current position, I serve as the Executive Director of Home and Community Options (HCO), a healthcare agency offering support to individuals with disabilities. I'm passionate about building inclusive communities and serving others. I have assisted numerous nonprofits with developing strategic plans and enjoy creating awareness of public policy issues. My commitment to the nonprofit sector is demonstrated by my active participation in local and state organizations, such as the Southeast Minnesota Provider Network Group, AIM (local business group), Grassroots Advocacy Taskforce, Winona Area Nonprofits, and committees within our state association – ARRM.
I have also served nonprofits in various capacities, including as a Direct Care Professional, HCBS Supervisor, Human Resource Director, and proud Blandin Foundation Community Leadership Program graduate.
Why do you feel you would make a valuable addition to the MCN board?
With over 32 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, I bring a strong commitment to community building and public policy advocacy, which aligns with the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) goals. As the Executive Director of a healthcare agency that supports individuals with developmental disabilities, I have spearheaded grassroots initiatives and servant leadership programs, amplifying the voices of vulnerable citizens while fostering collaboration among nonprofits. My role as one of the founders of the Winona Nonprofit Alliance has allowed me to enhance nonprofits through advocacy, resource sharing, and building resilient communities.
Joining the MCN board would allow me to contribute further to strengthening nonprofits statewide. My deep-seated passion for creating inclusive, supportive communities and extensive experience in leadership, advocacy, and strategic collaboration makes me a strong advocate for positive social change. I am eager to share my time and talents with the MCN to continue driving the transformative work nonprofits do across Minnesota.
